The symposium was held under excellent conditions, providing a professional setting for the exchange of ideas, scientific presentations, and interdisciplinary discussions. This anniversary edition highlighted the maturity of the Gerontopsychology professional community and its commitment to the continuous development of the field.
The ARPC Organizing Committee extended its thanks to all participants, speakers, and partners for their involvement and support, which contributed to the success of this edition and opened new perspectives for future symposia.

Terms of
Participation
Participation in the 10th edition of the National Symposium on Gerontopsychology was open to clinical psychologists, researchers, psychotherapists, specialists in health psychology, gerontology, and geriatrics, as well as other professionals interested in the field.
The registration conditions were designed to facilitate access for a diverse range of participants, while also ensuring the framework required for professional accreditation and the effective organization of the scientific program.
Psychologists holding the right to independent practice received A.R.P.C. certificates accredited by the Romanian College of Psychologists, while specialists from other fields were awarded A.R.P.C. certificates attesting to their participation in the symposium.

Instructions for
PAYMENT
For participation in the Symposium on Gerontopsychology — four scientific communication sessions and two workshops — the participation fee was 300 RON, payable by October 29, 2024, to the A.R.P.C. account, with the reference “Gerontopsychology Symposium–10.”

Participation confirmation had to be submitted by October 29, 2024, including the information required for the issuance of certificates (first name, last name, C.P.R. code), as well as the supporting documents necessary for invoice processing.

Participation & Certification Benefits
Psychologists holding the right to independent practice received A.R.P.C. certificates accredited by the Romanian College of Psychologists. This recognition highlighted the value of the activities carried out and their relevance for continuous professional development.
At the same time, specialists from other fields were awarded A.R.P.C. certificates of participation in the National Symposium, in recognition of their interest and engagement in the topics presented.

Preliminary Activities
Prior to the symposium, participants had the opportunity to attend, free of charge, the Quol65+ Workshop, organized within the framework of the ERASMUS+ project “Increasing the Quality of Life for Older Adults with Fewer Opportunities from Bucharest and Rome.”

Colaboration
Clinical psychologists, researchers, psychotherapists, and specialists in health psychology, gerontology, and geriatrics contributed through presentations, discussions, and interactive sessions, generating a valuable exchange of knowledge and perspectives.
The professional and open atmosphere fostered both an in-depth exploration of theoretical topics and the emergence of new directions for interdisciplinary collaboration.


Impact
The 10th edition reaffirmed the symposium’s role as an essential meeting space for professionals dedicated to healthy aging and to the development of Gerontopsychology in Romania.
Through the diversity of topics and interdisciplinary dialogue, the event highlighted current directions of progress and the community’s commitment to the advancement of the field.

Event
The Romanian Association of Clinical Psychology organized an event dedicated to promoting interdisciplinary dialogue and strengthening the field of Gerontopsychology. On November 2–3, 2024, the 10th National Symposium on Gerontopsychology was held in Bucharest, in a hybrid format, bringing together participants from across the country and from the international professional community.
The anniversary edition, themed “Tradition and Innovation in Gerontopsychology: Classical Approaches and New Interdisciplinary Trends,” provided an ideal framework for exploring the latest directions in research and clinical practice, alongside reflections on the developments that have shaped the psychology of aging over recent decades.
